HONOR Unveils Industry First Moonlit Night Fashion Photoshoot with Magic8 Pro

Leading global technology brand HONOR today unveiled its latest campaign showcasing the innovative night photography features of the HONOR Magic8 Pro. The device redefines low-light image capture, unlocking new creative possibilities for shooting stunning imagery from dusk through darkness.

To demonstrate the capabilities of the Magic8 Pro’s Ultra Night Camera System, HONOR created a unique challenge, a fashion shoot photographed solely on the new device and lit using only moonlight – demonstrating the natural beauty of clothes with no need for fancy lighting rigs or multiple camera lenses. The shoot was conducted in partnership with acclaimed night photography expert Maria Lax and against the stunning volcanic landscape of Mount Teide in Tenerife.

The challenge was captured in a mini-documentary filmed during the final supermoon of 2025, showcasing Lax working exclusively with the HONOR Magic8 Pro under the moonlit skies of Mount Teide to capture shots and demonstrate the natural beauty of her chosen fashion.

Capturing high-fashion imagery in such extreme low-light conditions was made possible by the device’s ground-breaking technology and demonstrated the future for fashion photography, where the vision of the photographer and stylist, not technology dictates what’s possible.

The HONOR Magic8 Pro’s Ultra Night Camera System is anchored by a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera featuring a large sensor, OIS, and the AI-powered “Ultra Night Engine.” This combination delivers bright, detailed, and stable low-light photography with exceptional colour accuracy, clarity, and vibrancy, even in previously challenging conditions.

Advanced stabilization technology further elevates performance. HONOR’s AI Adaptive Stabilization Model works with the industry’s most advanced AI telephoto setup to achieve CIPA 5.5-level stability, making users seven times more likely to capture sharp handheld zoom shots. The system provides 4x improvement in shake detection accuracy and enhanced dynamic response for consistently clear results.

Complementing the Ultra Night Telephoto, the Magic8 Pro features a 50MP Ultra Night Main Camera (f/1.6 aperture with OIS) for maximum light capture and a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera (122° field of view with 2.5 cm macro capability). Together, this next-generation AiMAGE Camera System expands creative possibilities while eliminating the need for additional equipment, empowering users to capture stunning night photography with a single device.

The HONOR Magic8 Pro represents a significant step forward in mobile photography, particularly in low-light performance,” says Bond Zhang, CEO of HONOR UK. “The moonlight-only challenge we set for Maria Lax on Mount Teide demonstrates the Magic8 Pro’s ability to capture detail in near-darkness. We’re confident this device will empower users to push creative boundaries and capture impressive imagery under the stars, as Maria has shown.”

Mount Teide under the full moon offers a unique stage for exploring themes that fascinate me,” adds photographer Maria Lax. “To capture that drama and high fashion with such detail and experimental freedom using just the HONOR Magic8 Pro was remarkable. Its low-light capabilities meant I could conduct an authentic, experimental shoot in a remote location that would typically require extensive gear. It truly showcases what mobile photography can achieve.”
