EE add YouTube and iPlayer to Video Pass

EE have just emailed with the news YouTube and BBC iPlayer have now been added to it’s Video Pass, giving customers the widest range of free streaming possible.

Customers using the Video Pass can stream all the content they want and not have it taken out of your data allowance, great for people who love keeping up to date with their favourite YouTube channels, or for keeping up with BBC television.

EE has today added BBC iPlayer and YouTube to the EE Video Data Pass, allowing customers to stream and download as much as they like without impacting their data allowance.

The Video Data Pass is available with EE’s new smart plans, as either an inclusive Swappable benefit for EE 4G and 5G Smart Plan customers or for purchase as a standalone Pass for £8.99 per month.

The two new additions join an already impressive selection of video providers included with the EE Video Data Pass: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BT Sport, TV Player and MTV Play.

With EE’s Smart Plans, EE 4G and 5G pay monthly mobile customers can choose the benefit that best suits them at the start of their plan and then swap it for any of the other available benefits as their needs change. All EE Smart Plan customers get access to at least one Swappable benefit and customers can also choose to purchase any of the benefits as an extra monthly addition should they wish. Swapping benefits is easy: customers can switch online or via the My EE app.

EE Swappable Benefits include:

  • Music Data Pass – An entirely new music-centric data pass which ensures that customers can stream as much music as they want and their mobile data isn’t impacted when they’re streaming: Apple Music, Deezer and Tidal
  • Video Data Pass – This benefit allows customers to stream and download their favourite shows to their hearts’ content without impacting their data allowance when they’re watching: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BT Sport, TV Player and MTV Play (and now BBC iPlayer and YouTube)
  • BT Sport App – Customers will have access to amazing on-demand and live sport such as the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Gallagher Premiership Rugby, UFC and more – EE 5G customers, will be access to the HD HDR version of the BT Sport app – offering more vivid, life-like colour
  • Roam Further Pass – This gives customers access to their UK plan allowances in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand

Other free perks available to Smart Plan customers include Upgrade Anytime and an extended device warranty for the lifetime of the customer’s contract.
