Just as we posted the news from Huawei about the newly announced Mate 20 X 5G, EE sent out a press release confirming they will be ranging the device here in the UK.
In case you missed the specs, the Mate 20 X 5G packs a huge 4200mAh battery to help power the even larger 7.2 inch display, one of the largest on and smartphone.
You also get the impressive Huawei camera technology with triple camera including that 40 megapixel main lens for amazing low light photos in any conditions.
Powering everything is the Kirin 980 processor which brings with it some impressive AI features, and of course the new 5G modem for super fast downloads.
EE TO OFFER THE HUAWEI MATE 20 X 5G
May 16th 2019 – EE, the UK’s largest mobile network, today announced that it will be bringing Huawei’s first 5G phone, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G to the UK.
The Mate 20 X 5G is Huawei’s new flagship handset, designed to provide a truly immersive gaming experience with its 7.2 inch OLED screen and turbo 2.0 GPU technology – which is perfect for making the most of high definition video over EE’s 5G network. The Mate 20 X 5G also features the world’s first liquid multi-dimensional cooling system and an ultra-long lasting 4200mAh battery, that can charge 70% in 30 minutes, alongside Huawei’s AI powered Triple Camera.

Huawei Mate 20 X 5G customers will be able to connect to EE’s 5G network when it is switched on in 16 UK cities in 2019. The first launch cities will be the UK’s four capital cities – London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast – and Birmingham and Manchester.
As well as the six launch cities, through 2019 EE will also be introducing 5G across the busiest parts of ten more UK cities: Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Bristol.
