EE ENTERS 2021 AS UK’S LEADING NETWORK

RootMetrics have once again announced their findings for best network here in the UK, and once again EE have come out on top.

EE winning this award is nothing new to them, in fact this is the fifteenth time in a row the company has won this award and for good reasons.

RootMetrics are an independent testing company who compare EE, Three, O2 and Vodafone in a range of locations across the country testing for coverage strength, speed and reliability.

EE came out on top with pretty much every test done and have been recognised for not only having the fastest overall network, but the widest signal availability too which is more important.

There is much more information below in the press release that was also sent over with the news and is well worth a read.

EE was named number one for overall performance, reliability, speed, data, call and text, and joint first for accessibility in RootMetrics’ 2H 2020 tests, demonstrating its ongoing network investment in 4G and 5G technology, and commitment to bringing customers the best mobile experience.

In 2020, EE built 160 new 4G sites across the UK, helping people stay connected to friends and family, and catering for the 40% year on year increase in 4G data usage.

EE’s 5G availability is higher than all other networks in the UK’s four capital cities – Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London. In London, availability on EE is more than double that of the second placed operator, almost four times that of the third placed operator and six times greater than the last placed operator.
