EE NAMED UK’S BEST MOBILE NETWORK IN LATEST INDEPENDENT TESTS FROM ROOTMETRICS
EE has taken the top spot for overall performance in RootMetrics’ latest national results for the 13th consecutive time. EE was named number one for overall performance, reliability, speed, data, and call, and joint first for text in RootMetrics’ 2H 2019 tests, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to bringing customers the best mobile experience.
Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer business, said: “We’re continuing to invest in our network to help keep our customers connected to the things that matter most, whether that’s rolling out 4G to even more places or being the first to bring 5G to the busiest places across the UK.”
EE has 4G and 5G in more places in the UK than any other network, and today achieves the overall network performance award in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. RootMetrics’ first look at 5G found that EE has the best performing 5G network, with the most coverage in London, Birmingham and Cardiff, and the highest average download speed.
