Huawei change P40 launch to an online event

With the Coronavirus showing no signs of slowing down, tech events are being either cancelled or rearranged to prevent any spread and health risks.

Huawei originally announced their new P40 Series will be announced in Paris on the 26th March and invites would be sent out for people to attend.

However this has now changed to an online only event just like we saw for the Huawei Mate Xs recently with MWC being cancelled back in February.

Huawei just tweeted the following

We’re excited to bring you our next chapter of #VisionaryPhotography at our upcoming online launch – stay tuned and we’ll see you on March 26th #HUAWEIP40

Having attended the P30 Series event in Paris last year it’s a shame the event is not going ahead in person as it allows the tech world to come together and collaborate content, however with the Coronavirus being a huge worldwide issue, it is good to see health coming before everything else and is the right move.

All eyes will be on the 26th and to see how the company react to the S20 Series recently announced by Samsung, especially when it comes to photography.
