O2 win 700Mhz and 3.6Ghz 5G spectrum in recent auction

With the 5G auction coming to and end we are finding out which spectrum networks were able to snap up to improve their 5G offering for future years.

O2 have a press release which confirms they have managed to get 20Mhz of 700Mhz band which is great for indoor coverage as it travels further and through walls better.

They also managed to get 40Mhz of 3.6Ghz used for data demand and faster speeds, this is on top of their existing 40Mhz of 3.4Ghz spectrum.

When it comes to 5G spectrum, O2 will now be able to offer 20Mhz on Low Band as well as 80Mhz on mid band for data demand and faster speeds.

O2 has secured £448m share in the latest spectrum auction
