Motorola unveils new flagship devices and AI-powered innovation at Lenovo Tech World 2026, including the razr fold and motorola signature

Today at Lenovo Tech World 2026, Motorola unveiled a broad portfolio of flagship devices, AI-powered innovation, and ecosystem expansion, reinforcing its leadership across design, mobility, and intelligent experiences. From new foldable form factors and an ultra‑premium smartphone franchise to a unified AI platform and future-facing concepts, Motorola showcased how it is shaping the next chapter of connected technology.

Motorola unveils its first foldable device: motorola razr fold

Motorola today announced the motorola razr fold, its first foldable smartphone, introducing a new form factor designed to adapt seamlessly to modern life. Built for productivity and entertainment, the device combines flexible layouts, intuitive interfaces, and on‑device AI features to deliver a versatile large‑screen experience in a compact form.

The motorola razr fold features a slim profile with a 6.56″ external display that offers the familiarity of a traditional smartphone. When opened, it reveals an expansive 8.09″ 2K LTPO internal display, creating a large canvas for multitasking, creativity, and immersive content. Adaptive interfaces, flexible layouts, and moto pen ultra stylus support enable fluid productivity, while on‑device AI features such as Catch me up and Next Move help users stay informed, organised, and efficient throughout the day.

The device is equipped with an advanced camera system designed for clarity and versatility. Its triple 50MP¹ rear camera array includes a main sensor, an ultrawide/macro lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens, enabling users to capture a wide range of scenes with precision. A 32MP external camera allows for high‑quality photos and video capture with the device closed, while a 20MP internal camera supports clear video calls and content creation when open. Powered by a Sony LYTIA™ sensor, the camera system supports Dolby Vision® recording and advanced video stabilisation for cinematic‑quality results.

Motorola welcomed a new family to its portfolio, with the debut of motorola signature, the first product in its new ultra‑premium smartphone franchise. Designed for users who demand excellence in technology, design, and service, the motorola signature series combines refined craftsmanship with advanced performance and exclusive experiences.

The motorola signature is the most complete and sophisticated smartphone Motorola has created to date. The device is the first ultrathin smartphone in its class with four 50MP cameras¹˒³ and is powered by the 3nm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, delivering next‑generation performance and advanced on‑device AI capabilities.

Despite its thin profile, the motorola signature features a 5200mAh⁴ silicon‑carbon battery with support for 90W TurboPower™ charging⁵ and 50W wireless charging⁶. A 6.8″ Extreme AMOLED display, combined with Dolby Vision®, Dolby Atmos®, and Sound by Bose technology, delivers an immersive entertainment experience with exceptional brightness, colour accuracy, and audio performance.

Announcing a unified AI ecosystem, birthed from Lenovo and Motorola

Motorola and Lenovo jointly announced Motorola Qira, a unified AI platform designed to deliver a consistent, intelligent experience across devices. Built on learnings from moto ai and Lenovo AI Now, Motorola Qira addresses the challenges users face when switching between apps, devices, and AI tools.

Motorola Qira unifies Lenovo and Motorola’s AI solutions, including moto ai, Lenovo AI Now, Creator Zone, and Learning Zone, under a single name, interface, and wake word. Powered by a shared knowledge base, the platform maintains context across devices, allowing users to create, capture, and interact seamlessly wherever they are.

The platform integrates partnerships with industry leaders including Microsoft 365 and Copilot, Qualcomm and Intel, Perplexity, and Google, delivering trusted AI experiences across on‑device use cases. Motorola Qira synchronises across devices to anticipate user needs, preserve context, and reduce friction, with additional features and capabilities planned for later this year.

Project Maxwell: AI Perceptive Companion Proof of Concept

Motorola showcased Project Maxwell, an AI Perceptive Companion proof of concept developed by Motorola’s 312 Labs. Designed to explore new ways AI can integrate naturally into everyday life, Project Maxwell demonstrates a hands‑free, context‑aware wearable companion within the Motorola Qira ecosystem.

When prompted, the AI Perceptive Companion continuously processes environmental data-seeing, hearing, and understanding context, to deliver real‑time insights and personalised recommendations. For example, users attending a conference could ask the device to listen to a keynote and generate a summary or draft a social post, all without needing to interact with a smartphone.

In developing this, the 312 Labs team focused on building a few key functions that set the Project Maxwell: AI Perceptive Companion concept apart:

  • Multimodal Perception Fusion fuses audio and visual data from the real world, delivering real-time, contextual and personalised insights through its camera, microphones, and sensors.
  • Natural Language Interaction and Intention Captureleverages Large Action Models that don’t just respond but can execute user-initiated actions.

This means the Project Maxwell: AI Perceptive Companion is able to make contextual suggestions that helps automate and streamline everyday tasks. While this is just a proof of concept for now, learning from the Project Maxwell: AI Perceptive Companion will feed into Motorola’s future exploration of AI, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in new ways.
