Google have something new coming 7th May

Google have updated their online store with a teaser that something new is coming to the Pixel family on the 7th May.

It just so happens that this is the same day Google I/O 2019 kicks off in San Fransisco, however this is aimed at the Pixel family and not Android as a whole.

The big expectation is that Google plan to announce a new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL during the event, this will feature a lower specification model than the existing 3 and 3 XL, but at a lower price to get into more markets and potentially a new colour too.

Of course as this is a Pixel device it will get all the software goodness already seen such as the Call Screen feature and Digital Wellbeing the main selling points, any anything Google have up it’s sleeve for the latest Android Q system update.

There have been a lot of leaks online already, but we are expecting to see a 5.6 inch display on the 3a and 6 inch on the larger 3a XL.

Both are expected to pack 4GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery and run a Snapdragon 670 processor to keep pricing down.

One area that will still impress is the 12 megapixel camera on the back, especially when it comes to low light photogrophy as that still blows everyone away when seeing what Night Sight can do.

Keep a look out on the 7th to see not only what hardware Google have in store, but all the news from Google I/O
